HiFi Club 2 Central Road – 0113 – 242 7353 If a Bohemian artistic movement was to form in Leeds and sweep the nation in a cultural coup, it would begin in the HiFi Club. An impressive melange of jazz, hip hop, soul, funk, new wave, electro and motown nights, there's pretty much anything to chose from, just nothing that involves chucking glo–sticks around, and it'll always be the better for it. Minimalist, intimate and enduringly unique, guest DJs from far flung lands and live acts often combine with the clubnights to give it an individual edge, and what HiFi doesn't play or put on its stage, probably isn't worth knowing about.
