Courtyard
Probably the first 'bar' in the city and it hasn't changed much over the years. Custom has bucked up a bit since the growth of the Millennium Square, but its heady days of being unique are over. The saving grace is the outsidey bit – or courtyard as it's affectionately, and mysteriously, known –, which is covered and heated in winter, plus the food is some of the finest pub grub you'll find in Leeds. With two roast sarnies and chips for a fiver over Sunday lunchtime there are far worse places to sink a few idle bevies.
