Oporto was one of the original players in the Call Lane bar market. It opened long enough ago to not have to resort to trendy gimmicks in order to lure new customers. And now that Call Lane is the place to be on a Friday night and everyone else wishes they'd had the same idea, it ambles along, confident of its proven maternal status. Oporto attracts a loyal following and odd gaggle of pretentious folk, eager to point out they knew this place before it was cool. Just tell them to piss off and get stuck into the top– notch food.
