Babylon (now called Plush needs new review)

Flash bar and restaurant on York Place, it's always been popular during the week with suits from the surrounding offices, but is now busier at the weekend thanks to all the bars springing up around the Financial District. The downstairs restaurant serves a strong range of modern British and Mediterranean dishes with an express lunchtime menu that's handy for clock watchers. It's renowned for its impressive surroundings and lavish evening menu, though the lack of windows in the restaurant can make you feel like you're dining in a very upmarket prison. Still, with a swish cocktail bar upstairs and a cool games room hidden in the back, you probably wouldn't mind being sent down for an 18 month stretch in here.
