Loft

Housed in a conversion of one of the city's oldest mills, this design–based contract and retail company was established in 2000. Displaying and marketing modern furniture and lighting, with an emphasis on British work, they aim to make classic design pieces available to the public. As the business has grown it has been able to develop its own exclusive range of products. These include ideas in storage, desking and lighting, as well as upholstery ranges and the Polo range of seating by Robin Day, which epitomises modern British design. In addition to this they display products from Vitra, SCP, Luce Plan, Knoll, Fontana, Arte, Minnotti, Flos, Cappellini, Louis Polsen, Zanotta, Oluce, and Fritz Hanson.
