Temple Newsam
Probably best known as the venue for many a rock concert – this is where the riotous 2002 Leeds Festival was held –, it's also worth visiting for its collection of Chippendales – the furniture, not the greasy strippers –, fine art and formal gardens. You'll find it five miles out of the city centre and boasting its own restaurant and gift shop if all of that culture starts to take its toll.
