Woodies Ale House

The birthplace of the Otley Run and so we'll show our respect. Damning with faint praise might even be pushing it, but here goes: it serves a variety of booze – beers, wines and spirits –; the roof doesn't leak – handy in the winter –; I've never seen a fight in there; and, by simple logic, it's got to be someone's local. It's a nice enough place to drink, in the same way that Guernsey is a nice enough place to visit. It just isn't strictly necessary.
