Let's face it this is Leeds not Las Palmas so the butterfly house here is a little on the sparse side, save for the deceased insects that have collected on the netting. However, amidst the muggy tanks of reptiles there's a nocturnal enclosure housing more fruit bats scrapping over fruit than there are school children fighting over novelty erasers in the gift shop. And without the prospect of completing a year 8 project on your visit you can enjoy the sights rather than race around searching for the laminated placards detailing the life cycles of the aforementioned marsupials.
