History lessons always had the potential to be fun; all those grisly details about ducking stools and kiddies getting their hair ripped off in spinning machines. Sadly, Itchy just seemed to spend a lot of time being forced to draw endless diagrams about crop rotation. The Royal Armouries gives you three thousand years of history taught way you want it: galleries like chocolate fudge cake for the eyes, plenty of gruesome weapons and people dressed up in ridiculous costumes. Fab for a family day out, perfect for those Sundays when you feel like doing more than watching the Hollyoaks omnibus, and absolutely no mention of Jethro Tull's seed drill.
