Skyrack

Despite being set in the part of town that's usually synonymous with trendy bars and clubs, the Skyrack's the kind of friendly local boozer you'd expect to find at the end of your road. Once you're inside, it's mercifully unpretentious - the old-fashioned décor makes a refreshing change from the rest of the area's poncey nonsense, and the eerily friendly door staff enjoy a joke with punters, so no worries about being super sensible as you approach. Head here on a weeknight when you don't fancy being hassled by the wasters.
