Blayde's
The name reminds Itchy of an ice skating disco we went to in our early teens, populated by girls in miniskirts with their legs turning blue and veiny. In contrast, this cosy little bar has a warm atmosphere, with enthusiastic staff known for breaking into spontaneous dance routines like something out of Coyote Ugly (although, less prone to setting the bar on fire and playing LeAnn Rimes), and wood-panelled, photo-strewn décor reminiscent of a nightspot on the Costa. Seemingly one of Leeds' few truly 'gay' rather than merely 'gay-friendly' bars, the place is especially popular with gay women.
