Royal Armouries

It seems churlish to complain when a national museum not only opens on your doorstep but then ceases to charge an entry fee (which used to be quite steep back in the day). However, the biggest problem facing the Royal Armouries is its scale. 'Oh look, a sword' – interesting, but not enough so perhaps to capture and retain the attention over the Armouries' five sizeable galleries. We are the MTV generation, after all. ADD sufferers will fare considerably better with the work of the 'interpreters', with displays of live falconry, jousting and other exotic combat.
