Seven
Seven opened last Autumn, having sprung from the seed of the long-running Chapel Allerton Arts Festival, and has already established itself as a vital resource in the area. Bearing the slightly chin-stroking tag of 'artspace', what it boils down to is a 100-seat venue for music, film, comedy and off-beat theatre, with a rather charming café-bar attached. The bar in particular is just a little bit more middle-class than it thinks it is – a rocket salad for five quid certainly doesn't rock our boat – but as a whole, the bods here do a sterling job of engaging with all of the great and good of the LS7 community.
