Old Red Lion

The Old Red Lion is that rarest of animals, a gay pub in the guise of a traditional boozer. It's a little off the beaten track, which makes it ideal for days when you want to avoid the Briggate glitterati and just sink a few quiet ones. The pub dates back to the Georgian era and maintains a lot of its original, period features – this may well include some of the clientele, by the looks of things. Probably not somewhere to go out on the pull. But if it's just a mere hand-pull (that's a pint of beer, yeah?), you're in the right place.
