Zizzi

Yet another passable pizza/pasta chain with upmarket ideas above its rather bland station. The ambience is like an underdone pizza base – palatable enough but ultimately a bit cold and stodgy. The food fails to live up to the façade of authenticity projected by the wood-burning oven, ostentatiously displayed for all to see. Zizzi seems like just another chip off a tired old block and perhaps they would do well to put said block in said oven: Itchy had to wait nearly an hour for our pizza. Surely they must be taking the pizizzi?
