Kendells Bistro

Tucked away by the West Yorkshire Playhouse and the BBC building is this little slice of France – styled as a traditional bistro, but with a Yorkshireman heading up the kitchen. The menu is written on huge blackboards and covers all the French favourites. You can opt for something as fancy as guinea fowl with a spinach, pinenut, garlic and chilli stuffing, or something as simple as steak-frites. The service is efficient, friendly and not at all stuffy and the food is excellent. Ideal for dates or meals out with parents.
