Dare

Dare promises much: café, bar, restaurant. All things to all people? The downstairs bar is a cosy Headingley hideaway - far from Otley runners with a dark, almost illicit, feel. Upstairs, the cafe serves from breakfast onwards, and morphs into a casual restaurant that offers large plates of well-priced food. Clearly looking to appeal to the Headingley's large student population, Dare has a range of meal-deals throughout the day, the highlight being a four course dinner menu for about £15. Even dining from the largely Mexican menu won't break the bank, and the service is some of the friendliest we've come across.
